About the Book
As a caterpillar, Fluffy was born different. Teased for their differences, Fluffy dreams of the freedom that wings could bring. When Fluffy unfurls their majestic wings to take their first flight, Fluffy tumbles and lands on the concrete.
Unable to fly, Fluffy is about to give up when a human angel rescues them. Every day with the angel is a new adventure, from watching movies to cooking dinner together. Could Fluffy be destined for an extraordinary life with a deeper purpose after all?
Filled with uplifting mantras, Fluffy the Extraordinary Butterfly is a powerful story showcasing to children that our differences are our strengths, allowing your world to open up to extraordinary possibilities. Just like Fluffy, you too will be saying, “I AM!”

About Tracy
_edited.jpg)
A graduate of Graphic Design from Toronto Film School and currently completing a Creative Arts degree at Yorkville University, Tracy Pepper is a Métis storyteller whose work is shaped by a lifelong journey of healing, ancestral wisdom, and the search for meaning through life’s transitions.
Diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer at the age of ten, Tracy has spent her life defying the odds and transforming survival into purpose. She recently returned to Canada from New Zealand to undergo treatment for metastatic stage 4 kidney cancer at Princess Margaret Hospital. Her resilience and determination inspire her storytelling and form the heartbeat of Fluffy the Extraordinary Butterfly — a story of hope for children navigating illness, disability, or the tender work of discovering who they are.
Tracy’s perspective is both deeply personal and globally informed. She is the founder of the Pendo Project, a charitable initiative supporting displaced Indigenous children in Africa, and a dual citizen of Canada and New Zealand whose life has been shaped by two homelands, many journeys, and the stories gathered along the way.
She currently lives in Toronto with her ten-year-old New Zealand Huntaway cross, Blue.
